Daytrip collects and stores the username, email ID, and the account password of the user locally on the client, and on the server. We don’t share this information with other entities. The primary purpose of the email ID and password is to recover your previous account and data, for example, while changing phones or reinstalling the app. That information is also needed to login to the Daytrip website.
Daytrip collects and stores the tasks you’ve created along with related information (example, due date of the task, category etc.), locally in the app and on our back-end server.
We do not share your data (your account information, your tasks, and related information) with any external entity. If there are sharing features within Daytrip and you explicitly use those features to share your tasks with others, then your tasks will be visible to the recipients you chose.
We reserve the right to share anonymized app usage characteristics with select partners for learning purposes.
The data is stored locally on the phone and also on a server hosted on Amazon Web Services.
We reserve the right to use the email address you’ve provided to send you product announcements, product updates, or information about your account.
Data Retention and Deletion
Even after the data on the phone is cleared, the data on the servers is retained for a limited time in case the user wants to recover the information. We intend to create an automated option for the users to permanently delete their information from the server, but in the meantime, users who wish to do so could send the request via email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will manually delete the data.
